Common Grace is a movement of people pursuing Jesus and justice. A grassroots movement that’s navigating denominational, theological, and political differences to come together for the common good, discover common ground and share in common grace.

We are a broad Christian community with diverse views on a number of theological, ethical and political matters.
What unites us is faith in Jesus.
We believe in the beauty of listening to one another across race, class, gender, sexuality, ability, age boundaries.
We long to see Christians in these lands now called Australia uniting for the common good, finding common ground and sharing in common grace.

'Do to others as you would have them do to you.' Luke 6:31

We love to hear comments that are respectful, relevant, helpful, and thoughtful. We want to be an online community that responds to God's grace by extending it to others: we love because he first loved us, so let us love others as we are loved. And it’s our hope that we can be a community that encourages voices too often marginalised in public conversations.

That’s why we won’t tolerate: personal attacks, abuse, intimidating comments, ‘trolling’, profanity, bigotry, defamatory language, misleading comments, and material that is in breach of copyright or promotes commercial ventures.

The movement works towards…

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Justice Led by our Aboriginal Christian Leaders, pursuing friendship and Reconciliation in our lifetime.
  • Justice for People Seeking Asylum Pursuing a world where those who come to our shores for safety and asylum are welcomed with compassion.
  • Domestic and Family Violence Justice Pursuing an end to the epidemic of violence against women and a future where churches and faith communities are safe places for victims.
  • Creation and Climate Justice Pursuing a safe climate for all of Creation through the protection and restoration of God's beautiful Earth.
  • Theological Generosity Building greater understanding of the scriptural basis that informs and underpins our pursuit of justice.

While we know our supporters are very involved in other causes, we‘re not currently addressing areas outside of these. We will therefore delete comments that are off topic or otherwise excessively flood our threads.

Please be mindful that we don’t currently have the resources to moderate online discussions. If you have any queries or concerns about our posts, you can contact us directly by emailing [email protected]. Suggestions are appreciated and we do our best to implement them whenever possible.
